In a month or so, they will meet to discuss the hydrant locations. The Chiefs were advised that there are no standpipes, only a sprinkler system. A motion was made by Commissioner Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Despres, granting permission for The Hills to use the Department's radio frequency in their radios. Approved 5-0.

Commissioner Jackson advised the Board that he, Commissioner Jankowski and Ms. Oudeans are on the LOSAP Committee and will be meeting with a representative from Hometown who may suggest making changes to our investments. Commissioner Jackson suggested that we may want to consider paying the premium out of the investment and not the budget.
Chief Bullock advised the Board that there will be a 9/11 Ceremony at the Memorial at 6:30
p.m. and that he has requested members to wear their Class A uniforms and that the members who are FDNY may wear their NYC uniforms.
Chief Bullock also advised the Board that the owners of the high water truck are still looking to sell the vehicle and that, right now, the truck is not working.
The Chiefs also questioned the amount of tax revenue that is coming in from The Hills. Commissioner Jankowski stated that the Town goes by taxable valuation. Ms. Oudeans stated that she had contacted the Assessor's Office and they advised that a dollar amount is not available yet.
First Assistant Chief Gregory suggested calling a meeting with the Town Assessor's Office, Maria Moore and Cindy MacNamara to discuss the tax issue and stated that the District should be due additional tax revenue, since, at the present time, there are occupied homes in The Hills development. He also stated, that extra tax money is especially needed now that we are looking to purchase two new costly vehicles and that, one of the vehicles, would be extremely valuable in accessing their buildings in the event of a fire or other emergency in the development.
A workshop was scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. to meet with the representative from Specialty Ambulance.
At 8:06 p.m., there being no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Jankowski, seconded by Commissioner Despres, to adjourn the meeting. Approved 5-0.
